Key partners in the delivery of the Innovation Advisory Service are: Oxford Innovation, National Physical Laboratory; and CLIK (technology transfer company of Rutherford Appleton Laboratory).
The lead partner is Oxford Innovation, a private sector company that has energised the Oxfordshire high tech economy over the last 10 years, and currently manages 12 Innovation Centres with over 400 companies located in those Centres. Oxford Innovation also manages three investment networks: Oxfordshire Investment Opportunity Network, Europe's most successful technology business angel network; the Thames Valley Investment Network and Oxford Early Investments.
National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is at the heart of the national measurement system, and has an active knowledge transfer programme to delivery expertise in all forms of measurement and metrology to Industry. NPL represents a huge knowledge and expertise resource that is now being made available to companies in the south-east in a highly targeted way for the first time.
CLIK has unique access to the technology and knowledge of the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, located on what is rapidly becoming the leading science research facility in Europe. CLIK's roles in the Innovation Advisory Service means that for the first time, companies in the south-east can gain systematic and easy access to the knowledge base of not just
Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, but all the other public sector research establishments in the south-east.
SEEDA, as the funding partner for this project, has ambitions for the south-east to become even more of a research and development powerhouse driving the future of the UK economy by backing companies with great future potential.
