Michael Wright

Michael Wright has worked in senior positions in both blue chip companies and SMEs; most recently as Managing Director of EKB Technology Ltd, a renewable chemicals development company. Before that, he was Chairman and Non-executive Director of Green Biologics Ltd, a company dedicated to the development of second generation biofuels from waste streams. He spent six years with BP Castrol Industrial Ltd, being responsible for new technology development and acquisition, manufacturing technology, competitor analysis, and providing global technical support to operating units based around the world. He acted as an independent consultant working on a range of bioenergy related projects, carrying out techno-economic assessments and IPR landscape mapping projects for a range of European companies. At Oxford Innovation he worked with high potential entrepreneurs and early stage technology businesses, taking them through all the critical phases of development to create and build sustainable technology based businesses.
