Huw Edwards
Huw Edwards after 12 years researching molecular signalling at Cambridge and Oxford, undertook business training in Amsterdam, with [Reed] Elsevier in electronic media. Huw is an advisor to the European Commission in the Biosciences, Media and Nanotechnology. He has been an influential partner in European technology networks in both diagnostics and biotechnology. Hugh has worked on knowledge transfer programmes in the Czech Republic, Russia, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, Belgium and Sweden over the last 15 years. He also acts an an analyst for the Commercial Unit of the Canadian High Commission on the biomedical industries. For 15 years Huw has focused on projects linking the biscience research with industry application in the new economy. His major roles have included: Project Director for Oxford's Biotechnology Exploitation Platform - Diagnox, "technology auditor" under the DTI Technology Audit scheme, founder Manager of the DTI Diagnostics Club and founding Chief Executive of the British in vitro Diagnostics Association.
