Andrew Colleran

Andrew Colleran is by profession a software engineer, and has worked in the UK and European arenas for many years as a consultant on commercial and research projects and as manager of a number of multi-national projects. He has specialised in the areas of networks, information services and multimedia and in the retail and distribution sector. He developed an early internet service for publishing digital content via European research networks. Andrew advised the European Commission on standards for electronic commerce. He has a particular interest in network and information security and chaired the Security Expert Group of the European Workshop for Open Systems
